Up your game!

Positive pressure ventilation (PPV) fans are some of the most important tools used to create a safer environment for our first responders. PPV fans are used to push smoke, contaminates, particulates, etc. out of a structure through an exhaust port while providing cool air to the scene using pressure differentials. This can increase visibility and air quality while providing a cooler atmosphere to work in. This makes them critical for creating a safer environment on the job site.

PPV fans offer a wide range of capabilities to fulfill various needs that a fire department may have. All BlowHard PPV fans are dual powered, meaning they can be run on battery power or A/C power, seamlessly and automatically switching when introduced or removed from an A/C power source. Regardless of the power source, they all provide a significant amount of power in a portable, reliable package.

Choosing the Right Fan for Your Needs

Finding the ideal firefighting ventilation fan for the job depends a great deal on when and where it will be deployed. Although many of these fans look similar at first glance, the power, size and features they bring can make one more suitable for one location but less than optimal in another.

For example, fighting fires in urban high-rises calls for a large PPV blower that has the strength and performance to pressurize and clear out long stairwells and hallways.  Larger structures also require more air volume to effectively ventilate in a timely fashion.  On the other hand, a smaller fan that is lighter and more maneuverable may be the fan of choice for ventilating residential and other smaller structures, as long as it provides the same high level of performance to quickly and effectively get the job done.

Fortunately, BlowHard offers a balanced selection of battery-powered firefighting fans engineered to tackle the toughest jobs and withstand the harshest environments. We have designed our product line to deliver the support our first responders require, allowing them to focus on their job at hand while providing a safer job site and environment.
